Our Mission

The mission of Aggeus Foundation is to provide the means for comprehensive medical treatment to patients with chronic illness like Diabetes and Cancer. Our special emphasis is on patients in long term care, such as nursing homes and assisted living facilities. In these “Special Cases,” where financial is needed, lack of medical insurance, or other non-health related issues interfere with continuity of patient care, is where the Aggeus Foundation intervenes to make a difference.

Why we are different

The Aggeus Foundation helps the forgotten patients in long term care by providing financial resources and support for treatment of their medical care.

A committee will carefully review all requests for support from entities such as Nursing Homes, Assisted Living Facilities, CBRF’s, etc., as well as, individual requests.

Facility Administrators, Medical Directors, Directors of Nursing, and Social Service Directors, may apply on behalf of the residents under their care or supervision.

Our goal

Aggeus Healthcare is a group of companies that was formed by physicians to provide services in areas of the country where no other providers would travel. The healthcare group services close to 100,000 patients per year, providing vital services to the elderly and the chronically ill across America. For example, in states where no dental coverage was available or where the delivery and performance was poor, Aggeus worked with the states to create programs that would deliver substantial and reasonable care approved by the government and healthcare authorities. The company’s target patient base is the diabetic population. Diabetes causes loss of vision, amputations, and significant dental problems such as tooth loss, which contribute to an overall health decline and shortens the life span. Although the company employs many specialists, including podiatrists, dentists and oral surgeons, Aggeus physicians realized that there was a substantial portion of the patients who were not covered by any insurance for things that would keep them walking, eating, and free of pain. We also help patients with ALS, MS and cancer to live a better more functional life. There are laws in existence which prevented the healthcare group to give out needed care and supplies.

The Aggeus Foundation was formed to extend the reach of the physicians who already donate their time, effort, and their knowledge and expertice to help those patients who really need it.

Get the facts

According to the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the American Diabetes Association and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International, 194 million people have diabetes worldwide and 1.5 million of those have type I diabetes. According to World Health Organization estimates, these numbers will more than double by 2030. In the United States, a new case of diabetes is diagnosed every 30 seconds; over 1.3 million people are diagnosed each year

Beneficiaries

One of our purposes for our project is to provide diabetics with urgently needed supplies such as special shoes when they cannot afford them or their insurance will not cover them. Diabetes is a leading cause of amputations in America. Diabetics have a higher rate of losing their eye sight, becoming disabled, having kidney problems and going on dialysis. Diabetics also develop nonhealing wounds because of the loss of sensation in their feet and poor circulation caused by chronically elevated blood sugar.

The Aggeus Foundation will raise funds for these patients, both young and old, for special needs such as surgery, wound care products, medical equipment, hospitalization, and support services, individually, and/or in partnership with other non for profit (501.3C) corporations.

Our partners provide medical services in many states with severely underserved elderly populations. The Aggeus Foundation will review all requests for support from entities such as Nursing Homes, Assisted Living Facilities, CBRF’s, etc., as well as, individual requests. The Aggeus Foundation will address all requests based on eligibility and need. Facility Administrators, Medical Directors, Directors of Nursing, and Social Service Directors, may apply on behalf of the residents under their care or supervision.

Board of Directors

Dr. Yev Gray

Dr. Gray is the founder of Aggeus Healthcare, a group of companies who serve the elderly residing in nursing homes and extended care facilities. Yev’s practice is involved in seeing over 100,000 patients every year, thousands of whom lack the ability to pay for simple things like diabetic shoes, or medical supplies that can prevent injury and death. He began to develop the Aggeus Foundation, when it became apparent that even as new healthcare laws emerged to bridge the insurance gap, millions still are suffering. For these people, even hope is deferred. The goal of the Aggeus Foundation is to provide help and hope to those who are not covered by medical insurance. There are millions of people who can live longer, without suffering, given medical support available to most in this country. We wish to empower physicians whose patients cannot otherwise have needed equipment, medical supplies, or surgical alternatives, to be able to help these people by calling us.

Jim Sayadzad

Jim is the CEO of the management group which supports Aggeus Healthcare and its day to day operations. He is a lung cancer survivor whose dedication to help others like him exceeds his personal considerations. When Aggeus Healthcare realized that tens of thousands of its elderly patients in Wisconsin were not receiving any dental care, Jim formed a dental insurance company to deliver dental care to people in the most remote parts of the country where no dental providers were available. Why is dental care important? People’s food intake is directly related to their lifespan and quality of life. People should not be fed through a tube. Jim’s dedication over the last several years has created a physician support network for thousands who would otherwise quietly suffer.
